Job openings at Kindt Clinics

We’re growing steadily, and we’re always looking for passionate, qualified psychologists who feel at home in our method and mission. Our work is intensive but rewarding – with short treatment trajectories, a high success rate, and lots of teamwork. If that energizes you, we’d love to hear from you.

About Kindt Clinics

Phobias are our specialty. Our primary treatment method is Memrec, developed by Dr. Merel Kindt, Professor in Clinical Psychology at the University of Amsterdam. Since 2018, we have treated over 2,500 people. 85% of treatments are effective in one round (two sessions), and we take pride in our high client satisfaction. After establishing our clinic in Amsterdam, we are currently planning to open a second location in London.

Our way of working

With Memrec, there is a strict protocol but at the same time each treatment needs to be tailored to the individual patient. A key part of the treatment is confronting the fear directly. We do whatever is needed to make that happen. This means we often go on-site – whether that’s a high-rise building, open water, or public transport. We also collaborate with various professionals, such as nurses and dog owners. This makes the work sometimes unpredictable, but always dynamic and engaging. Treatments are one-on-one, but colleagues are always closely involved in the background.

Open positions

Treatment assistants

Do you own a specific pet, or do you have the ability to vomit on command, and live near Harley Street? Kindt Clinics is looking for paid treatment assistants to support our phobia treatment sessions.

We are specifically looking for:

  • Dog owners with medium/large, confident dogs (e.g. shepherds, boxers). Dogs must be well-trained, non-aggressive, and not easily distressed.

  • Cat owners with confident, playful cats that are not shy or aggressive.

  • Owners of other pets: mice, rats, snakes, fish, butterflies, frogs, toads, etc.

  • Individuals who can vomit on command, to support treatment of emetophobia (fear of vomiting).

What you do
You join us during phobia treatment sessions (or we meet at an agreed location). You handle your animal (or yourself, if supporting emetophobia treatment) while our psychologists guide the client. Sessions are always supervised, and the safety of clients, animals, and assistants comes first.

Practical details

  • Sessions are scheduled on weekdays.

  • Each treatment usually involves 2 sessions of about 45 minutes.

  • Fee: to be discussed.
