Now on TV: The Fear Clinic

Starting Tuesday, January 21, the English TV channel Channel 4 will air The Fear Clinic, a six-part series about our clinic. The series follows the journey of 18 British clients being treated at Kindt Clinics for their fears.

Trigger warning: images of spider, mouse, moth, clown, sheep, dog.

When Wonderhood, a British TV production company, approached us to create a series about the daily practices in our clinic, we hesitated. Would clients be comfortable with this? Would therapists stay focused in what is usually such an intimate setting, with all the people and equipment around? And most importantly, would the treatments be just as effective?

What reassured us was that Wonderhood had previously produced reality series about surgeries in British hospitals. The respectful way they handled those stories convinced us to collaborate. Our goal with this partnership is to let people know they don’t have to live with the limitations of their fears.

We, and the people who participated in the series, want people to know they don’t have to live with debilitating fear. There is a solution.

Still, it was a bit overwhelming when the “British invasion” arrived at our clinic with all their equipment. Every room was fitted with cameras and microphones. The usually tranquil yoga studio beneath our clinic became the control room for two weeks, filled with screens and mixing panels. Even our interior received a makeover to ensure the best visuals for The Fear Clinic.

Over the course of three weeks, we treated 18 British clients for a wide range of fears. Episodes of The Fear Clinic will be broadcast every Tuesday at 8:00 pm starting 21 January 2025.

The series offers an in-depth look at what happens in our clinic: the intake process, internal discussions and treatment planning, and, of course, the treatments themselves.

The true heroes of The Fear Clinic are the clients who face their deepest fears head-on. We’re also immensely proud of our colleagues.

We hope that this series will show even more people with fears that they can reclaim their freedom with the help of our method.
